Legal BS out of the way... Actually Imagine Software did not write
or produce any of this archive except what you are reading and the
simple tool types of the Super72_1942.info file.
Super72_1942 is CBM-Amiga's "Super72 40.4 (03/10/93)" Monitor with
some modified tool types which work with MY 1942 monitor.
CBM-Amiga is in NO way associated with the production of this archive!
Overscan.Prefs are my overscan preferences which I provide incase your's
have had the hsync start and stop "toyed" with, as had mine at one time.
If YOUR monitor has problems or you do not like the appearence of the
Super72 screen modes, I suggest you examine "MonED 2.13 (12/10/93)" or
a newer version and make your own changes to the Super72 monitor's tool
types. (May be found on Aminet)
MonED 2.13 (12/10/93) was written by Raul A. Sobon and Copyright 1993.
This Monitor file will produce 78 Hz, 25.81 kHz signals.
My manual for the 1942 lists its Scanning Frequency as
Horizontal
15.6-15.8 kHz
27.3-31.5 kHz
Vertical
47-75 Hz
This will allow you to use an 800x600 (crystal clear) screen mode
(SUPER72:Super-High Res Laced), however, no overscan can be accomplished.
You may need to modify your IControl Preferences so they DO NOT include
"Avoid Flicker" under the Coercion options.
Some things which may also be required:
Contained in CBM-Amiga's Monitor30Patch.lha (May be found on Aminet)
SetPatch 40.14 (10/07/93)
IPrefs 39.5 (05/04/93)
Overscan 40.2 (04/30/93)
The main purpose of these files was to add a "arrow-scroll" gadget to
the Overscan prefs to adjust screen positioning.
Should you experience your monitor not syncing at anytime discontinue
use of this monitor file.
